„Głębokie Lake” an Exhibition of Paintings by Natasza Piskorska
Exhibition opening
November 4th, 6:00 PM

Natasza Piskorska, a native of Szczecin, has lived and worked in Toruń since 1995. Her paintings are unique illustrations of everyday life, where reality intertwines with imagination and dreams, often presented with a sense of humor. The artist draws inspiration from every aspect of life—be it a walk, a conversation, or simple daily scenes. Her work, although highly personal, allows room for free interpretation, evoking both emotion and smiles.
Piskorska uses bold colors and confident brushstrokes, not shying away from strong contrasts. In her paintings, characters break free from the ground, cats take on human traits and play the piano, while birds and fish interact with the figures in her works. A recurring motif is couples dancing on rooftops, often the rooftops of Toruń. This has made her art well-known to the city’s residents.
Although she resides in Toruń, Szczecin still holds a special place in her heart. She frequently returns to seascapes, small coastal towns, and empty beaches in her work, expressing her love for the sea. At the “Lake Głębokie” exhibition in Café 22, viewers will also see unexpected locations from the map of Szczecin, transposed onto canvas. These paintings, far from realism, are a deeply personal record of the artist’s memories.
The exhibition will be available for viewing throughout November and December during the café’s opening hours. Free admission!
