Lastadia – Cranosauruses
The river island, surrounded by the waters of Parnica, the Green Canal, the Western Oder, the Duńczyca and the Wrocław Canal, has belonged to Szczecin since 1283. A place of mass events and artistic events.Its inseparable element are the Cranes, nicknamed “Cranosauruses”, which were first installed in the 1930s. They were still used for port work at the beginning of the 21st century. at the beginning of the 21st century. In 2009 , they entered the collections of the National Museum in Szczecin, and five years later they were given a completely new character. It was renovated – beautifully painted and illuminated. They have become a new symbol of the city!
